Introduction:

The Whisper Boat Building Academy for the deaf, founded in 2004,  aims to enhance the life chances of Deaf disadvantaged South African (youth). This is achieved by facilitating learning and skills development for the Deaf to acquire professional composite construction and boat-building skills and knowledge. 

The aim of Whisper Boat Building Academy  is to create jobs and provide much needed skills to the boat building  industry, as well as addressing the needs of  people with disabilities in South Africa.
